Much like automotive seating, the decorative seams applied to the lower back and lower seat cushions ACTUALLY increase the comfort!?! The secret is an additional layer of cushioning that was initially conceived to increase the depth of the stitching. In reality, this extra layer increased the comfort exponentially as well. The radius arms have pronounced panels that define the upholstered arms, to create the illusion of arm pads. The benefit of this construction is the clean crispness which will stay this precise for much longer than the "industry norm" way of constructing this type of arm.
